Farms and Land

The estate comprises 1300 acres of arable and vegetable farmland and 1050 acres of grassland, predominantly let to farm tenants and graziers. The listed parkland is grazed by the estates own pedigree Sussex Red Cattle herd and forms part of the estates Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme.

The woodland extends to 980 acres, made up of a mix of broadleaf and coniferous woodland. It is managed under a Forestry Commission Woodland Management Plan and we are committed to bringing the woodlands back into a productive capacity and making a positive contribution to the biodiversity across the estate. The River Test runs through the park and estate and the river and adjoining banks and meadows are designated a site of special scientific interest.

The estate has 55 acres of paddocks and horse grazing, including stables with permitted hacking routes, for existing horse and pony graziers. To enquire about grazing opportunities, please get in touch on the ‘contact us’ page.
