Romsey Relay Marathon returns 1st May 2022
After a pandemic induced two year hiatus, The Barratt Homes Relay Marathon returns for the 8th year on Sunday 1st May 2022. Organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey, the Marathon is a unique community event held in the spring of each year, on the Broadlands Estate. Open to the whole community, the event raises funds and awareness for local charities and other good causes.
The Relay Marathon gives an opportunity for anyone to take part in a team of up to 10 runners who will collectively run 26miles and 385yards. Each runner will run two circuits of 1.3 miles to complete their leg of the course before handing the baton to their teammate. Every penny the Teams raise goes to charities and good causes of their choice, with the whole entry fee supporting Rotary’s work.
The south’s biggest celebration dedicated to our four-legged friends takes place at Broadlands Estates on 4th & 5th June. From Great Danes to Dachshunds, Dogstival is the ultimate festival for dogs of all breeds and sizes – jam-packed with entertainment across the weekend.
The main arena hosts some of the UK’s leading dog displays and shows with feats of bravery, intelligence and speed. If it’s behaviour, training tips or nutrition advice then head to the Dog House Stage and join a range of canine experts including TV vet Dr Scott Miller.
